Beginning in 2021, the Unit presents the Jan Janitschke Award annually to recognize an individual displaying “outstanding teaching or mentoring contributions to the membership of Denver Bridge Unit 361.”
Nominations for the year of 2023 are OPEN. The 2023 award will be presented during the 2024 Rocky Mountain Regional, at the Pro/Am game on Tuesday afternoon.
Nominations CLOSE on March 15, 2024.
Selection criteria:
- What has this person done to advance bridge education and/or mentoring in the Denver area?
- How has this individual affected you or others in the bridge community?
- How has this individual contributed time and energy to help Unit members become better, more confident bridge players?
Note the following:
- You may nominate someone whose activities you know about, even if you have not benefited directly. Long-time bridge players are encouraged to participate in this process.
- Your nominee may have provided education and/or mentoring to either newer players or more advanced players.
- The award is open to a person who has facilitated or promoted education and/or mentoring as well as a person who has taught or mentored directly.
- The focus should be on calendar year 2023, but the body of work can be considered as well.
- You can nominate more than one person. However, you must submit a SEPARATE NOMINATION FORM for each nominee.
